New Eleventy Site and Blog

It's been a long time since I've blogged online.

I've played around with Wordpress. I tried out free themes, buying themes, trudging away making my own themes, and figuring out better ways to host a WP site. I just didn't feel it. I enjoyed writing in PHP but trying to piece things together in a template form was, for me, not fun.

I was aware of template engines but I never got into it. Then I found Eleventy. Something just clicked and I started to build a new site and this is the outcome.

Right now it's small and still needs work but it's here and I feel good about it.

Plans

I had "plans" for this site for a LONG time. They either never came to fruition or fizzed out. Adult ADHD and anxiety tends to take the reigns when you don't want it to.

So now there is no plan except to just post things I like. Some posts will most likely be about game development. Other posts about photography and music. Sprinkle in some retro video games and tech here and there too.

The most important thing for me is that I keep this up. At least I hope I do. I don't want to fall back into a bubble again.
